MWBE Outreach and Info Meetings – Seattle Aquarium – Ocean Pavilion

Project Description: The new approximately 50,000 square foot multi-story aquarium building that will be located along the Seattle Waterfront, east of the current Seattle Aquarium (Pier 59 and Pier 60). The new Ocean Pavilion will be an expansion of the existing Aquarium Campus alongside the future Waterfront pedestrian promenade. The new Alaskan/Elliott Way will be relocated to the east side of the Ocean Pavilion. Both the Waterfront Promenade and the relocation of Alaskan Way are part of the Office of the Waterfront’s Mainline project and will become the future existing conditions for the Ocean Pavilion project. The project will provide additional exhibit and education space, as well as a publicly accessible roof connecting the Seattle Aquarium and Central Waterfront to the Pike Place Market and Downtown Seattle.
36 scope packages will be published for construction bid proposals and qualified prior to award.
Turner intends to self-perform the following packages as a prime contractor:
- Castin Place Concrete
- Rough Carpentry
- Finish Carpentry
