May 19 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm PDT
WSDOT is hosting a virtual listening session on Thursday, May 19, from 2 pm to 4 pm.
WSDOT has heard concerns from under-represented and under-served community members and organizations regarding Community Workforce Agreements. This session is intended to listen to and understand these concerns so they can be considered and, if possible, addressed as WSDOT implements Community Workforce Agreements.
HOW DO I ATTEND THESE LISTENING SESSIONS?

OVERVIEW OF A COMMUNITY WORKFORCE AGREEMENT
A Community Workforce Agreement is a Project Labor Agreement designed to benefit under-represented and under-served communities’ access to capital construction investments made in their communities. These benefits include access for local workers to participate in projects, opportunities for available local contractors to engage in these construction opportunities, and the expansion of qualified local workers contributing to regional economies.
The Washington State Department of Transportation has a Community Workforce Agreement on our 520 Montlake Project. WSDOT is looking to add Community Workforce Agreements to future transportation project contracts. With this in mind, we would like to hear from under-represented and under-served communities regarding Community Workforce Agreements so we create opportunities to benefit marginalized communities.
