Pre-Proposal Meeting: A pre-proposal meeting will be held at 747 Market Street in the Tacoma Municipal Building in Room 148 at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019, to answer questions regarding the Disadvantage Businesses Enterprise (DBE) requirements included in the contract. Prospective bidders are urged to attend.
Project Scope: This Work shall generally consist of constructing a 1.25 mile shared use path segment between East 56th Street and East 72nd Street, which includes a minimum 12-foot wide asphalt surface with a 2-foot gravel shoulder along each side. Sidewalks, driveway approaches, and curb ramps will be updated to ADA requirements. The project also includes new flashing crossing beacons with Pedestrian and Bicycle push buttons, LED Lighting, permanent bicycle counter, new signage, and wayfinding signage. The shared use path will also connect to both ends of a bridge being built by Tacoma Water.
Estimate: Between $1,700,000 to $1,775,000.
